Eula Jean VanMeter 82, of Charlestown, IN passed away on Saturday December 27, 2014 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany.
She was born on November 19, 1932 in Washington Co, IN to Jeptha and Jencie Bunch Hobson who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by sisters Mary Hobson, Esther Osterkamp and Elsie Marie Brown and brothers Elmer, Ted, Oris, and Roy Hobson. She was a former employee of ICI and a member of the North Charlestown Church of God and also a member of the old Grace Christian Fellowship.
She is survived by her children Pat (Richard) Smith of Charlestown, Larry VanMeter of Charlestown, Shirley (Darrell) Kiser of Nabb, IN, Sheila VanMeter of Charlestown, and Paula (Raymie) Gill of Marysville, IN; sister Lois Murphin of Brownstown, IN; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Saturday January 3 at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial to follow in Olive Branch Cemetery in Pekin, IN. Visitation will be on Saturday beginning at 11am.
