Eula Mae Duncan, 86, passed away Sunday morning, September 28, 2014 at Destin Healthcare Nursing Home.
Eula Mae was born at Sacred Heart Hospital Jefferson City, MO on February 2, 1928. She was the 7th child of 12 children born to John and Elsie (Layton) Pfenenger. Eula married James W. Duncan on
May 12, 1945. She was a long time member of the Church of God, daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all that knew her. She had a profound love and devotion to God, children, friends, and family with a deep respect for her fellow man and time. Quote: “ In school we studied the lesson to pass the test; in life we take the test to learn the lessons.” Eula learned her lesson well, she has passed the test.
Survivors include her five children; Dora A. Laisure-Ballman of Miramar, FL, James W. Duncan, Jr. of Clarksville, IN, Keith Duncan, Sr. of Pekin, IN, Herbert D. Duncan of Warsaw, IN, Tonya L. Wirick of Elkart, IN; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 1pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown. Visitation will begin after 12pm till the time of the service at 1pm.
