Eugene Smith, 80, of Charlestown, IN passed away on Saturday August 22, 2015 at Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville, IN.
Mr. Smith was born on September 5, 1934 in Boaz, AL to Milton and Katie Gross Smith. He was an army veteran, a retired truck driver for Mason-Dixon and C.C.X and was a member of the VFW Post 1427 in Charlestown.
He is survived by his daughters, Rhonda Smith of Otisco, IN, Pat Little of Melbourne, FL, Jeanette DiBenedetti of Augusta, ME; son, Rodger Smith of Vienna, IN; brothers, Ray and Marion “Red” Smith both of Dothan, AL and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday August 26, 2015 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Old Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3 pm to 8 pm and after 9 am on Wednesday.
