Eugene R. Harkonen

Mr. Harkonen a former resident of Clarksville, In. Passed away Saturday Jan. 23, 2010 at his residence

He was born on August 4, 1928 in Franklin, MI the son of Paavo William and Bertha Huttenen Harkonen. Mr Harkonen was a retired Civil Engineer for the Army Corps of Engineers.

Survivors include his wife Elsie Faye Harkonen, daughters, Jeanine Harkonen Rohlke and Audrey Harkonen both of Colombus, OH. Sons Arne Harkonen (Phyllis), Burlington, Vermont and John Harkonen (Alfonda) of Louisville. Brother William Harkonen (Lillian), Michigan, Sister Gayle Anderson, Michigan, Grandson Mathew Harkonen, Louisville.

Private Graveside services will be held in the Charlestown Cemetery with a Memorial Service to be held at a later date. Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, In are in Charge of the arrangements.
