Eugene “Duck” Combs, 87, of Sellersburg, IN, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was born on March 23, 1930 to Floyd and Georgia (Stacey) Combs in Hazard, KY. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, a retired maintenance worker for IMCO Containers, member of the American Legion Post 204 in Sellersburg, First Baptist Church in Jeffersonville, and was an avid sports fan.
Survivors include his daughters, Kim Chappelle (Keith) of Sellersburg, IN, and Lisa Tennill (Kevin) of Fishersville, KY; sons, Alan Combs (Jim) of Jeffersonville, IN, and Floyd Combs (Julia) of Sellersburg, IN; sister, Jacqueline Roark of Happy, KY; grandchildren, Jason May (Melanie), Michelle Monahan (Jamie), Robert Tennill, Michael Combs, Samuel Combs, and Kevin L. Tennill; great-grandchildren, Logan Monahan, Ali May, and Nick May; his dog, “Franklin”.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February19, 2018 at 1pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial to follow in the Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Sunday from 12pm to 6pm, and after 11am on Monday.
