Esther Juanita Hawkins, 87, of Charlestown, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Kindred Transitional Care & Rehab.
She was born on October 12, 1924 in Jeffersonville, IN. She was a retired employee of the Old ICI Americas, and a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Bobby Gene Hawkins of Carmel, IN; daughters, Shirley Layne of Greenwood, IN, Peggy Love of Charlestown, IN, and Norma Mattingly of Jeffersonville, IN; 9 Grandchildren, 14 Great-Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great Grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 24, 2012 at 10:30am at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial to follow in the Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 12pm to 8pm, and after 9am on Friday.
Expressions of sympathy can be made to Hospice of Southern Indiana.
