Ernie Burton, 74 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at his home.
Ernie was born on November 8, 1943 the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Burton in Nashville, TN. He was manager for Warehouse Grocery in New Albany, IN and also worked as a security guard at Churchill Downs in Louisville. Ernie enjoyed his work at Churchill Downs, and watching sports especially Golf.
Mr. Burton is survived by his daughter Melinda Gentry of Charlestown, IN; brother, Steven Burton of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Justin and Jeffery Burton; great-grandchild, Chloe Burton. Ernie was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Karen Robison; brother, Randall Burton II.
Cremation was chosen with memorial services held at a later date by his loving family.
