Ernestine Lorene “Tina” New, age 85 of Hanover passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Thornton Terrace.
Ernestine was born August 3, 1927 in Muncie, IN the daughter of Ross and Lilly Hart Cross. She worked as a custodian for Southwestern Schools for many years and retired from there. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, quilting, and knitting when she was able.
Ernestine is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James S. New; January 10, 1992, her daughter, Pam Cravens, 2 sisters: Marjorie Donovan, and Kay Findley; and her twin brother Ernest Cross.
Ernestine will be greatly missed by her 2 sons: Mike Kaufman of Union City, OH and Mike New of Hanover. Her brother, Harold Cross, Muncie, IN and her sister Mary (Cleo) Ewing, West Lafayette, IN. Several grandchildren including; Alicia New, Aaron New, Nicole Black, and Aimee Mills. Several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Services for Mrs. New will Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 1:30 pm at Grayson Funeral Home in Hanover with burial in Dupont Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday beginning after 11:am until time of service.
