Ernest Howard Hazel, age 82, of Jeffersonville, IN passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Hazel was born February 4, 1930 in Bowling Green, KY the son of Clarence and Addiville Miller Hazel. He retired at the rank of Master Sergeant after 20 Years serving in the U. S. Army. He was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Jeffersonville and the Masonic Lodge #129 in Westport, Ky for over 50 years.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Jean Hazel; step-sons, Larry Wheeler(Esther), London, OH, Ronald Wheeler, Myrtle Beach, SC and Michael Wheeler(Sharon), Hillard, OH; brother, Earl Hazel; seven grandchildren, Brian, Chad, Brandon, Travis, Brianna, Brittany and Katie and five great-grandchildren, Crew, Georgianna, Cody, Cashton and Dallas.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the Grayson Funeral Home, New Washington with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12:30 P.M. Saturday until time of service. Expressions of Sympathy in memory of Mr. Hazel may take the form of donations to the First Baptist Church, 2402 East Tenth St., Jeffersonville, IN 47130
