Ernest “Buck” Floyd, 81 of Charlestown passed away on Monday, November 10, 2014 at St. Catherine Regional Hospital.
Mr. Floyd was born April 1, 1933 in Carrollton, KY the son of Muriel Willis. He was retired from Nibco Inc. in Charlestown and also was a custodian at St. Catherine Regional Hospital. Buck was a Korean War Army Veteran, member of Kimberlin Creek Baptist Church and American Legion Post #335.
Survivors include his daughter, Vickie Carranto of Las Vegas, NV; sons, Darren Floyd(Jane) and Mark Floyd(Laura) both of Charlestown and Mike Floyd(Sheila) of St. Petersburg, FL; brother, Roy Floyd(Cynthia) of Charlestown; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother; wife, Sue Floyd; sisters, Ruby McKean, Jannie Clark and Patricia Early.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 1:30 P.M. at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Indiana Veterans Cemetery in Madison, IN. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1:00 to 8:00 P.M. and after 9:00 A.M. Thursday until time of services.
