Erana Rae Jackson Elston, 67 of Charlestown, IN and formerly of Madison, IN passed away on Monday, October 17, 2016 at Norton Hosparus Inpatient Care in Louisville, KY.
Erana was born on October 23, 1948 in Greensburg, IN the daughter of Dennis Myron and Lois McQueen Jackson. She was a Registered Nurse working as a Surgical Nurse at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY for over 20 years. Erana was a member of the Charlestown Independent Church and enjoyed quilting, working with her flowers, genealogy, adventurous travel, helping others with yard sales and everything about construction and remodeling, but most of all the love of her family.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years Keith Elston; daughter, Lana Elston of Jeffersonville, IN; sons, Leslie Elston and his wife Tamatha and Brian Elston all of Charlestown, IN; mother Lois Jackson of Madison, IN; sisters, Denise Dailey(Dennis) of Deputy, IN, Debbie Hardy(Randy) of Lexington, IN and Lissa Griffin(Jeff) of Dupont, IN; brothers, Myron Jackson(Shiela) of Vevay, IN and Jay Jackson(Teri) of Canaan, IN; grandchildren, Amanda Bush, Cody Elston, Alex Elston and Stacy Elston; great-grandchild, Julia Marie Baird and a host of other family and friends. Erana was preceded in death by her father Dennis Jackson and her brother, Jody Jackson.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 1:00 P.M. October 23, 2016 at the Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington, IN with burial in Owen Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and after 10:00 A.M. Sunday until the time of services. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Erana may take the form of donations to Hospice Inpatient Care Center, 315 East Broadway Street #6,Louisville, KY 40202.
