Elvie Lois May, 101, formerly of Bethlehem passed away Tuesday December 6, 2011 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born on February 14, 1910 in Casey County, KY the daughter of Carson Cloyd and Elsie Lay Cochran. Mrs. May was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Marion Brison Jr., Marysville, IN, Carson E. Brison, Nabb, IN and Ralph A. May, New Washington, IN; step-son, Roy May, New Washington; step-daughter, Alma Faye Webb, New Washington and Edith Abbott, Lexington, IN; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. May was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy May; daughter, Lillian Gertrude Doyle; step-daughter, Lois Cowan.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 8, 2011 at the Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown with burial in Hibernia Cemetery. Visitation will held from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 9:00 A.M. Thursday until time of service.
