Ella Elizabeth 'Peach' (Thompson) Boggs Scruggs

Ella Elizabeth “Peach” Boggs Scruggs, 84 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Diversacare of Providence in New Albany, IN.

She was born on October 12, 1937, in Crestwood, KY to Joseph and Tessie Reynolds Thompson. She was a Qualified Medical Assistant and enjoyed playing games, camping and fishing with family and friends and was a member of Christian Believers Church in Sellersburg, IN.  If anyone knew Peach, you knew she loved the Lord above all else.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, Palmer Boggs; son, Phillip Palmer Boggs; brother, Edward L. Thompson and sisters, Esther Cash and Ann Shepard.

Survivors include her husband, Billy Scruggs; her children, Paul Boggs (Cindy) of Otisco, IN, Pattie Watson (Steve) of Charlestown, IN, Pam Hoagland (Jimmy) of Charlestown, IN; stepdaughters, Teresa Sparrow of Corydon, IN and Linda Claridy of TN; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Life Celebration Services will be at 2:00 pm on Friday May 27, 2022, at Grayson Funeral Home with burial in Charlestown Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Friday.
