Elizabeth Ray Horton

Elizabeth “Liz” Ray Hubbard Horton, age 58 of Nabb, IN passed away on Friday, September 21, 2012 at her home.

She was born January 18, 1954 in Madison, IN the daughter of  William and Ollie Marie Ray Blagrave. She was a L.P.N. and worked at the former Longworth Villa in Charlestown the Scottsburg Nursing Home and recently for Scroggins Home Health Care. Liz was member of the Chelsea Church of God, enjoyed gardening, her birds and chickens and along with her husband Larry they would visit local festivals with their concession stand Smokn’ Lizzie. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and taking them to enjoy local Flea Markets and Sale Barns.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Horton; son Larry Wayne Horton Jr.(Amanda) Nabb; daughter, Amy Elizabeth Horton-Brinson(Dustin) Lexington, IN; sister, Besty Kathleen Hubbard Manns(Paul) Hanover; brother-in-law, Fred Holwager, Seymour, IN; grandchildren, Shellbie Lauren Horton, Brandon Tyler Horton and Alexis Marie Horton; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Nadeane Marie Holwager

Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Terry Eversole  at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Chelsea Church of God, Chelsea, IN with burial in Benham Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday after 3:00 P.M at the Chelsea Church of God and on Tuesday after 11:00 A.M. until time of service at the church. Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington, IN is in charge of arrangements.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of  Liz may be made to the Chelsea Church of God Youth Group.
