Elbert Powell, 91, of New Washington, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Simmons Mini Home in Jeffersonville.
He was born on April 24, 1920 to Robert and Eva Logsdon Powell in Leitchfield, KY.
He was an Army Veteran of WWII, and a retired barber. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Fern Powell.
Survivors include his sons, Greg Powell (Leslie) of New Washington, and
Robert E. Powell (Collette) of Charlestown, IN; 6 Grandchildren and
5 Great- Grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 3pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington, with interment in the Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 1pm Saturday.
Military services will be provided by the American Legion Post 336 and VFW Post 1427.
