Edward Joe Filburn

Edward Joe Filburn 76, of Austin, IN passed away on Saturday October 28, 2023, at his home.

He was born on December 5, 1946, in Louisville, KY to Lawrence E. and June Ridgeway Filburn.  He was a member of Teamsters Local 89, a retired truck driver and an Army veteran.  He enjoyed shooting pool with family and friends, racing cars, fishing and spending time with family.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Larry Filburn, Tony Filburn and Bob Filburn.

Survivors include his son, Adam Filburn and his wife Ana of Austin; daughter, Melissa Spencer of Sellersburg, IN; step-son, Richard C. Hooten of Indiana; brother, Johnny Filburn of Leitchfield, KY; sister, Betty Pirrmann of Louisville; granddaughter, Raquel Carlisle; great grandchildren, Sawyer and Sophia Carlisle.

Life Celebration Services will be at 3:00 pm on Saturday November 4, 2023, at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown.  Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
