Edna R. Meek (Giltner) Roederer

Edna Ruth Roederer, 80, of New Washington, IN passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 in the comfort of her home.

Edna was born on June 27, 1941 and was the daughter of Clifford and Pauline Giltner. She was a member of New Washington Christian Church. She was a homemaker and was dedicated to her family, raising kids, and caring for others. She was everyone’s Granny in every way. She was an excellent cook and you could count on her for a good meal and a laugh. She enjoyed tending to the flowers in her garden and listening to music. She loved to play games, especially Scrabble.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband and father of her children, James Carroll Meek; husband Jim Roederer; brothers, Byron and Clifton Giltner and sisters Grace Reardon and Betty Washnock.

She is survived by her children: Tony Meek (Lisa), Louisville, Donna (Steve) Yeager, Harrodsburg, KY, and Jeff Meek (Pam), New Washington; step-daughter, Pam Sprague, San Jose, CA; sister, Norma Stanley (Jessie), Austin, IN; Twelve grandchildren, Rachel Grimes, Jeffrey Meek Jr, Derick Cochran, Whittney Sepko, Kevin, Kaytie, Matt, David, and Jimmy Yeager, Amy Bond, Kyle Meek, Jake Smith; Twenty-eight great-grandchildren

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday January 19, 2022 at 12:00PM at the Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington with burial to follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5-8:00 PM and again on Wednesday beginning at 10:00 AM
