She was born on April 19, 1939 to Oscar and Delia (Maggard) Rice in Cumberland, KY.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Ray Hibbard of Charlestown, IN; step-daughter, Robin Tolley of Brownsburg, IN; brothers, Ruben Rice of Cumberland, KY, and Hubert Lewis of Nashville, TN.
