Edith Jane Clemons

Mrs. Clemons passed away on Sunday May 9, 2010 at her home.

She was born on Dec. 21, 1911 in Hart County, KY the daughter of Theodore and Annie Clemons Johnston. Mrs. Clemons was a former seamstress at ICI and a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by husband James H. Clemons, her sons Ronald, Rick, Don, and Gene Clemons, daughter Norma Prendergast, and grandsons John Long and Mark Clemons.

She is survived by her daughters Nell Clark of Dana Point, CA, Linda Bradley of Elizabethtown, KY, Shirley Bauman of St. Louis, MO, Rose Henry of Jeffersonville, IN, and Cheri Blevins of Lexington, IN; sons James Cyril Higdon of New Washington, IN, William H. Higdon of Louisville, KY and Mearl T. Clemons of Owings, MD; brother Quentin Johnston of Cub Run, KY; sisters Leone Miller and Wanda Pierce both of Leitchfield, KY; 31 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren.
