Douglas Brian Wischmeier

Douglas Brian Wischmeier, 55 of Charlestown, IN passed away on January 7, 2020 at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville, KY.  He was born on May 17, 1964 in Seymour, IN.

He proudly served his country serving 9 years in the United States Navy, and the serving an additional 8 years in the Naval Reserves as well as the Air National Guard.  He worked in maintenance control for UPS.

Douglas was known as a devoted husband and father, someone who never met a person he didn’t like, and always did everything with his heart.  He was also well known for having an infectious laughter.

He is survived by his wife Anne Gillespie Wischmeier, his daughter Shana Wischmeier of Charlestown, and his best friend Ricardo Correal of Jacksonville, FL. He is also survived by his parents, brother, 2 sisters, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday January 11, 2020 at 11:00 am at the St. John Paul II Catholic Church located at 216 Schellers Ave in Sellersburg, IN with a luncheon to follow..  Visitation will begin at 10:00 am at the church.
