Douglas Howard Copeland, Sr., 67, of Charlestown, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2016 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was born on March 13, 1948 to Bailey Howard and Wanda Fay (Thomason) Copeland in Dawson Springs, KY. He was an Army Veteran, manager of DC & D Pool Hall in Charlestown, member of the VFW Post 1427 which he was the First Post Commander, and the American Legion Post 335. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sisters, Martha Sue Copeland, and Judy Faye Truesdell.
Survivors include his son, Douglas Copeland, Jr. (Tammy) of Charlestown, IN; brothers, Jimmy Copeland (Rita) of Robertsdale, AL, Tommy Copeland of Charlestown, IN, and Timmy Copeland of Leitchfield, KY; grandson, Cameron Copeland.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 11am at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial to follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY. Visitation will begin on Thursday from 4pm to 8pm at the Grayson Funeral Home, and after 9am on Friday.
