Doug Hiler

Doug Hiler, 69 of Nabb, IN passed away on Monday, April 5, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Doug was born on November 7, 1951 in Hamilton, Ohio the son of Forrest and Nellie Biddle Hiler. He was a logger by trade, working at Burton Lumber in Blocher, IN for over twenty-five years. Doug was a member of the Case Tractor Club, collected Case tractors and all kinds of toy tractors, enjoyed gardening, but his true love was his family especially his grandchildren. Mr. Hiler was a United States Army Veteran.

Doug is survived by his wife, Linda Minton Hiler; son Matthew Scott Hiler and his wife, Sherrie of Nabb, daughter, Angie Hart and her husband Brian of Madison, IN; step-daughter, Cindy Turner of Nabb, IN; sisters, Ella Mae LaMaster of Commiskey, IN, Judy Stone(Terry) of McCordsville, IN, Marjorie Burr of Harve de Grace, MD and Patsy Snell(Roy) of Nabb, IN; brothers, Marvin Hiler(Penny) of Scottsburg, IN and Ed Hiler(Patsy) of Lexington, IN; grandchildren, Lucas Owen, Hannah Owen, Caleb Turner, Cayleigh Turner, Brittney Hiler, Carrie Hiler, Ryan Hiler, Jared Abner and Camron Abner. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Donnie Hiler, sister Shirley Bush and stepdaughter, Peggy Abner.

Life Celebration Services will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at the Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington, IN with burial in Barnes Cemetery in Nabb, IN. Visitation will begin on Friday at 11:00 A.M. until the time of services. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Doug may take the form of donations to the American Heart Association.
