Dorothy Rita Schirmer, 86, of Hanover passed away on Sunday May 15, 2016 at The Waters of Clifty Falls.
She was born on January 31, 1930 in Madison, IN to Julius and Della Mae Ferguson Schmidt who preceded her in death.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Robert Schirmer; daughter, Teresa A. Schirmer of Hanover; sons, Robert E. Schirmer of Mt. Grove, MO, Scott A. and his wife Glenda L. Schirmer of Madison, Michael L. Schirmer of Hanover, and Eric F. Schirmer of Madison; sisters, Edna Perry of Madison and Lillian Ward of Rio, IN; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 pm on Thursday May 19, 2016 at New Prospect Cemetery. Visitation will be at Grayson Funeral Home – Hanover from 4 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday and from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Thursday.
