Dorothy Marie Keith, 78, of Charlestown, IN passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Kentuckiana Medical Center.
She was born on May 16, 1936 to Bob and Nancy (Vincent) Decker in Louisville, KY. She was a retired dispatcher from the Charlestown Police Department after 25 ½ years, and a former Charlestown Police Reserve Officer. She was a member of the Bethany Christian Church, F.O.P. Lodge, Eastern Star #597, Police Ladies Auxiliary, Square Dancing, and the Pistols & Petticoats Club. She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Marty McMahan, her second husband, Don Pound; third husband, Don Keith; daughters, Sheila McMahan, and Tammy Pound; sisters, Ilene Ward, Mae Benningfield, and Mary Rose Vetrees; brothers, Guy, Floyd, Claude, Jr., Kenneth, and Bill Decker.
Survivors include her sons, Glen McMahan (Debbie) of Sellersburg, IN, and Terry Pound (Mitz Nabekura) of Louisville, KY; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 12pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial to take place in the Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville, KY. Visitation will begin on Monday, from 1pm to 8pm, and after 9am on Tuesday. Eastern Star services will be held on Monday night at 7pm at the funeral home.
