Dorothy Ellen "Dot" Henderson, 88, of Charlestown, IN, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020 at Maple Manor Christian Home in Sellersburg, IN.

Dorothy was born on June 1, 1931 to Edward and Susan Cornett in Whitesburg, KY . She was the former owner of Dot's Beauty Shop and Henderson Flowers in Charlestown and a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Claudis Henderson; brothers, Coolidge Cornett, Ivan Cornett, Warren Cornett and Kenneth Cornett.

Dorothy is survived by her sons, Richard R. Henderson (Martha) and Randall D. Henderson (Tammy) both of Charlestown; brothers, Norman Cornett of Lexington, KY, Lind Cornett of Sausalita, CA, sisters, Eula Morgan of Charlestown, Dovie Collins of Blackey, KY and Jewell Hauser of New Jersey; grandchildren, Paul Travis Henderson (Michelle) of Charlestown, Candace Beaven (Matthew) of Charlestown, Kiefer Henderson of Charlestown, IN and Austin Rush (Stephanie) of Martinsville, IN; great grandchildren, Presleigh Schlecty of Charlestown, Shelby Henderson of Charlestown, Lucas Beaven of Charlestown, Coleson Rush of Martinsville, IN, and Brandi (Stephen) Johnson of Clarksville, TN; great-great grandchild, Brinley Johnson of Clarksville, TN.

Life Celebration Services will be at 2 pm on Saturday March 14, 2020 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Expressions of sympathy may go to Adaptive Hospice.
