Dorothy Dean, 86, of New Washington, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012 at her home.
She was born on September 22, 1925 in Letcher Co., KY to Henry and Arminta Wit Hampton. She was a homemaker, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Scottsburg Chapter, and a member of the Hibernia Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Charles F. Dean of New Washington, IN;
son, Terry W. Childress of Jeffersontown, KY; daughter, Jo Ann Wooten of North Vernon, IN; brother, Hubert Hampton of Indianapolis, IN; 5 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 2:30pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington, with burial to follow in the Hibernia Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3pm to 8pm and after 9am on Wednesday.
Eastern Star services will be held on Tuesday at 7pm at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy can be made to the American Cancer Society.
