Dorothy Louise (Jones) Cochran

Dorothy Louise Cochran, 87 of Jeffersonville, IN passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN.

Dorothy was born on December 25, 1936, in Louisville, KY, the daughter of Harry Thomas and Dorothy Mae Reed Jones. She worked at the former Indiana Ammunition Plant and ICI Americas in Charlestown, IN during her early working years and retired from Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family, working crossword puzzles, reading especially mysteries, watching mystery shows, and her daily newspaper.

Her children survive Dorothy, Sandra L. Emery of Jeffersonville, IN, Patricia A. Sappenfield of Jeffersonville, IN, Rose M. Rosenberg (Martin) of Greenwood, IN; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Eugene Cochran; son, Thomas W. Casey; sister, Wanda Kearns; brother, Harry Thomas Jr.

Life celebration services will be held at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. with burial to follow in Crown Hill Cemetery in New Washington, IN. Visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday until the time of services.
