Doris Jean Cartwright Young, 81, of New Washington, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Hanover Health & Rehab.
She was born on July 24, 1933 to Wilber and Violet (Williams) Holloway in Scott County, IN. She was a farmer’s wife, a retired bus driver of 25 years, and a member of the First Baptist Church in New Washington, IN. She is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel R. Cartwright; son, Larry Cartwright; brother, William G. Holloway.
Survivors include her son, L. Joseph Cartwright (Annette) of Lexington, IN; daughter, Diane Moore (Stephen) of Hopkinsville, KY; sisters, Nancy Reynolds of New Market, IN, Janet Evans of Clinton, MD; and Terri Alford of FL; brother, Paul Holloway of Owensboro, KY; 5 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 7pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington, with burial in the New Market Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Tuesday after 4pm at the funeral home.
