Doris Gill, 92 of New Washington, IN passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Hanover Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hanover, IN.
Doris was born on February 14, 1922 in Clark County, IN the daughter of Jacob T. and Elsie Robison Dickey. She worked in the Sewing room at the former Indiana Ammunition Plant in Charlestown, IN. She was a member of the Bethel Christian Church, former member of the New Washington Eastern Star, New Washington Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed working in her garden and flower beds.
Survivors include her sons, Perry Gill(Shirley) of Charlestown, IN and Thomas Gill(Beverly) of New Washington; sister, Juanita Bray and brother, Floyd Dickey(Mary Ann) both of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Billy Gill, Kristie Breeding(Jeremy), Delana Doris Standiford(Doug), Sandra Newton(Billy); great-grandchildren, James Cliffton Gatchel, Kyle Thomas Smith, Shayne Thomas Gatchel, Tayler Kelsey Smith, Breeanna Newton and Nicholas Newton; several nieces and nephews. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Carroll Clifton Gill; sisters, Mildred Amick and Leora Cain; brothers, Eugene L. and J. T. Dickey.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. and after 9:00 A.M. Thursday until time of service. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Crusade for Children or Bethel Christian Church.
