Mrs. Gibson passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2009 at St. Catherine Regional Hospital.
She was born on April 11, 1910 in Knott County, Ky the daughter of James and Florence Vance Gibson who preceded her in death along with her husband Bobbie Gibson in 1979. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and quilting and was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Virginia Amburgey and Vernell Mullins of Whitesburg, KY, Velma Gibson and Betty Snelling of Otisco, In and Ollie Miller and her husband Keith of Sellersburg, IN, a son, Virgil Gibson, Sr. of Otisco, sisters, Lava and Polly Stamper of Paris, KY brothers, Mallie and Billy J Gibson of Knott Co., KY and Ken Gibson of Galena, IN; 10 grandchildren and 18 great- grandchildren and 3 great a
