Donnie Burkhead Sr.

With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we honor the life of Donnie Burkhead Sr., who passed away on July 3, 2026, just weeks before his 62nd birthday. Born on July 30, 1964.

Donnie’s story is best told through the profound bonds he created and nurtured over a lifetime. Survived by his beloved children—Donnie (Jenevieve) Burkhead Jr., Carl Burkhead, Casey (Savannah) Burkhead. His family circle lovingly extends to his step-son, Danny (Tasha) McDonough, and step-daughter, Lindsey Chizek, whose lives were impacted with love. Nothing brought Donnie greater joy than time spent with his eight grandchildren, each a testament to the love and lessons he shared across generations. Also surviving are his siblings; sisters Debbie Geiger, Maria Ross, and Christy Burkhead, and his brothers Ronnie and Lonnie Burkhead. The ties among siblings ran deep, a reflection of shared memories and mutual support that stood the test of time. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Burkhead and Margie McIntosh.

As we grieve Donnie’s passing, we also celebrate the incredible impact of his years among us. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the fishing trips, camping, spending many hours working on everyone's cars, and even catching a good race with him along with the love that endures in his family’s embrace.

Donnie's wishes were for cremation and a celebration to be held in his memory. When the date and times are determined we will be sharing on Grayson's website.
