Donald M Thomas

Donald M. Thomas 71 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at his home surrounded by family.

Donnie was born on March 28, 1953, in Louisville, KY to Howard D. and Evelyn Hooper Thomas.  He was a retired pipefitter for Local 502 in Louisville and a member of Blazing Star Masonic Lodge #227.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending time at his camp at Dogwood Lake, and watching old westerns.  Donnie was known to build anything he needed or wanted rather than buy it.

Donnie was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Densil Thomas.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Marianne Brewer Thomas, his children, Donnie Thomas (Kelly) of Charlestown, April French (Brian) of Sellersburg, IN, Rebecca Boram (Mark) of Sellersburg, grandchildren Laila Thomas, Jude Thomas, Vincent French, Elijah Boram and Alyvia Boram.

Life Celebration Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery.  The visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, and after 11:00 am on Wednesday.

There will be a Masonic Service at 7:00 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
