Don K. Allen, 85 of Jeffersonville, IN passed away on Monday, March 21, 2016 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
Don was born on February 20, 1931 in Lawrence County, IL the son of Arnold and Martha Leone Crawford Alford. He was a retired Manager for Speedway and SuperAmerica Stations in the west Louisville, KY area. Don was a graduate of Northwestern University in Chicago with a degree in Architecture, was an avid bowler and enjoyed watching baseball and basketball.
Survivors include his wife Carole T. Allen of Jeffersonville; sisters, Mildred Proffitt, Vera Stevens, Shirley Woodruff and Phyllis Darden; brothers, Gary Lee Alford and Carl Edward “Jack” Alford. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, Dave, Ray, Edith, Mary, Maggie Faye, Alice, Francis, Norma and Betty.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 25, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday beginning at 12 Noon until time of services.
