Dewey (better than snuff, not half as dusty) passed peacefully on Monday July 7, 2008 at Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville, KY with his family by his side. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, a retiree of American Air Filters and a Scoutmaster for the Boys Scouts of American. He was an avid traveler, a frequenter of casinos and a supremely kind and generous man. Dewey was preceded in death by his brother Frank Parker.
He remains firmly in the hearts of his loving wife of 53 years the former Sally Rose Billharz, his children Ella Marie Ryan (Johnnie), Dewey C. Parker, Jr. ( Sandy), Margaret Cahn (Ed), Lorrie Wood (Joey), grandchildren: Jennifer (Chuck), Parker, Nicki (Justin), Katie (Casey), Carmon and Sydney and the first great granddaughter, Samantha Rae, sisters; Wilma Bell, Ann Sellers, Doris Newmon, Mary Correll and Sarah Parker.
