Mrs. Hawes, a native of Vanhook, KY was born May 14, 1921 to Sam & Dora Whitaker Bullock. She was a retired employee of I.C.I. of Americas and a charter member of the Eastern Star #597. She is survived by her husband Ellsworth Hawes, sons Tony Chadwell and Gerald (Anita) Chadwell, daughter Ellen (Darryl) Tucker, step daughter Patty (Robert) Phillips, sisters Edna Noe and Hazel Shear along with 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
