Derek Shawn Corbett, 32, of Sellersburg, IN died on Monday October 3, 2016.
He was born on June 6, 1984 in Madison, IN and was raised in Hanover, IN until he was 6 years old. He was a graduate of Silver Creek High School and was a Journeyman Iron Worker and belonged to Iron Workers Local Union #70 and attended Northside Christian Church in New Albany, IN. He enjoyed time with his family and was an avid outdoorsman, hunting and fishing.
He also loved to build things with his hands out of wood or metal.
Survivors include his wife Shereen Corbett, son, Logan Corbett of Sellersburg; mother, Lillie Corbett of Sellersburg; sisters, Alicia Corbett and Keisha Kochevar both of Sellersburg.
Memorial services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday October 9, 2016 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown. Visitation will be from 12 pm to 2 pm on Sunday.
