Denise Marie Abbott, 48 of Palmyra, IN and formerly of Jeffersonville, IN passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at her residence.
Denise was born on September 20, 1968 in Jeffersonville, IN the daughter of Howard and Sharon Ferguson Lay. She worked in construction most of her life mainly in remodeling houses.
Survivors include her daughters, Kayla Dell and her husband Jad of Palmyra, IN and Brittany Lay of Charlestown; son Dustin Mason of Charlestown; sisters, Deanna Strong of Charlestown and Vickie Bonner of California; brothers, Kenny Lay of Louisville and Karl Ferguson of Georgia; grandson, Ricky Russell; step-daughters, Lesli Abbott and Amanda Abbott . Denise was preceded in death by her Parents and a brother Dale Lay.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the Lexington Presbyterian Church in Lexington, IN. The Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown is in charge of arrangements.
