David Carl Schindler

David Carl Schindler 72 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Saturday July 29, 2023 at River Crossing Assisted Living in Charlestown.

He was born on October 13, 1950, in Charlestown to Robert and Cecilia McCartney Schindler.  He was a construction worker and a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 335.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Bob Schindler.

Survivors include his brothers, George Schindler (Virginia) of Nabb, IN, Danny Schindler (Sheri) of Marysville, IN; sisters, Delores Rector (Jim) of Aurora, IN, Betty Rowland (Jerry) of Louisville, KY, Patty Roberts (Jack) of Clarksville, IN, Rose Mary Kopp of Jeffersonville, IN, Catherine Schuler of Greenfield, IN; sister-in-law, Paula Schindler of New Washington, IN.

A Memorial visitation will be on Tuesday August 8, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown.

The family wishes to thank Amedisys Hospice especially Randy Hensley and Dawn Fackler for their loving care.
