Darlene Virginia Watson, 78, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013 at her home.
She was born on September 22, 1935 to William and Mary (Hiser) Scott in Knob Lick, KY. She was a retired waitress and was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness Charlestown Chapter. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sons, William Owen Schlenker, and Joseph M. Lucas, Jr.; great-granddaughter, Megan D. DeBosky.
Survivors include her daughters, Rosemary V. Mayes (Jim) of Palmyra, IN, LeJena Huff (Richard) of Charlestown, IN, Betty Bishop (Clinton) of Willisburg, KY, and Joanie Watson of Henryville, IN; grandchildren, Sherry, Darrell, Tanya, Christy, Nora, Emily, Kaitlyn, Taylor, Emadalyn, and Kathryn; 7 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 3, 2014 at 1pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial to follow in the Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 12pm to 8pm, and after 9am on Friday.
