Daniel Curtis Miles, age 55 of Jeffersonville, IN went to be with his Lord on Friday, March 1, 2013.
Daniel was born June 6, 1957 in New Albany, IN the son of Leonard “Cotton” and Edna Smith Miles. He worked for the City of Jeffersonville as its Plant Operator at the water treatment plant. He was a member of the Charlestown Independent Church, was a nature lover and enjoyed camping, hiking, collecting ties and White Castle cups.
Survivors include his wife Debbie Mattingly Miles; daughter, Heidi Miles, Jeffersonville; son, Lenny Baird(Shannon), Jeffersonville; mother, Edna Miles, Sellersburg, IN; sister, Gloria Oakley, Charlestown; brothers, Stephen Miles, Scottsburg, IN and Darrel Miles, North Carolina; grandchildren, Brendan, Maura and Sage. He was preceded in death by his father, Cotton Miles.
Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Brian Tibbs at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday until time of service. Expressions of Sympathy may take the form of donations in memory of Mr. Miles to World Vision or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
