Dallas Sidney Singer, 77, of New Washington, In, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Floyd Memorial Hospital.
He was born on August 6, 1938 to Dallas D. and Mary Delma Singer (Horine) in Bethlehem, IN. He was a retired custodian for Greater Clark County Schools and the University of Louisville, former employee of the Old ICI Americas, and the old Modern Container Company in Jeffersonville, IN. He was a member of the Forrestors, and Pleasant View Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Gary and Steve Cornell and David Singer.
Survivors include his wife, Betty (Hooker) Singer; daughter, Betty Lou Purlee (Gary) of New Washington, IN; brother, Raymond Singer (Beth) of Marysville, IN; grandchildren, Jeff Purlee (Reagan) of Jeffersonville, IN, Brandy Grigsby of New Washington, IN, and Tiffany Kelley of New Washington, IN; great-grandchildren, Presley Grigsby, Emily Purlee, Hudson Grigsby, Xavier Kelley, and Josie Grigsby.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 2 pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington, with burial to follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Wednesday from 1pm to 8pm and after 9am on Thursday.
