She was born July 9, 1923 in Albany, Kentucky the daughter of Maryann Covey. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Charlestown and enjoyed quilting, crocheting and embroidering. She was preceded in death by her mother and husband David Hulen Smith. Survivors include her daughters Elizabeth Hundley, Charlestown, Rose (Brent) Pierce, Danville, KY., and Carol (Steve) Johnson, New Albany, IN.; grandchildren, Amy Dever, Tyler, Lindsey, Scott and Jeff Pierce; great-grandchildren, Rachel and Riley Dever, Jake and Jensen Pierce.
