Connie Sue Compton, 59, of Henryville, IN passed away on Tuesday February 28, 2017 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN.
She was born on April 26, 1957 in Louisville, KY to Earl and Mary Meredith Hawkins. She was a former assistant teacher at Head Start and a member of the Henryville First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Lanny Compton, Sr.; sons, Lanny Compton, Jr., of Charlestown, IN and James M. Compton of Henryville; daughter, Angela Savage of Sellersburg, IN; sisters, Beverly Benningfield and Evelyn Cameron both of Elizabethtown, KY and Charlotte Hamm of Kings Mountain, NC; step-sister, Nora Pryor of Henryville; grandchildren Kaitlyn Dent and Anastasia Hampton and great grandchild Adrian Miller.
Funeral services will be held at 12 pm on Friday March 3, 2017 at Henryville First Baptist Church with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 pm to 8 pm on Thursday at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown and after 9 am on Friday at the church.
