Cody Shane Johns, 18, of Sellersburg, passed away Thursday at Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville, KY.
He was born on October 16, 1992 in New Albany, IN. He was a 2011 graduate of Silver Creek High School and a landscaper with his dad. He was a member of the Graceland Baptist Church in New Albany and a volunteer for feed the homeless through the church. Cody also enjoyed drawing and watching wrestling.
Survivors include his mother and step-father; Tina and Alberto Cruz of Sellersburg, IN; brother; Albert Cruz; sister; Cynthia Cruz; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 25, 2011 at 2pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown. Visitation will be after 10am on Monday.
