Claude Eugene Simpson

Claude Eugene Simpson was born on April 24, 1941, and passed away in his home surrounded by his family on November 24, 2023.

He retired from ICI Americas after 30 years then started his own company and worked an additional 17 years.  He served on the L & N Credit Union Board of Directors for 15 years.  He has been a Mason (32nd degree) for 50 years, a Kentucky Colonel (over 20 years), and served in the United States Army for 2 years and the reserves for an additional 6 years.  He was an avid hunter.  He was the pillar of his family and will be missed more than words can express.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Simpson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Judy, daughters, Teresa Simpson (Allan Watt), Pamela Hardebeck (David), sons, Timothy McCoy (BJ) and Troy McCoy (Chastity), grandchildren Bradley, Breanna, Madison, Mary, Jacob, Joshua, Jackie, Jessie, Christopher, Tiphani, and Sabrina, 6 great grandchildren, a sister, Geneva Fiore (Dave), brothers, Jack Lively, Sam Lively (Delphine) and his loving companion, Toby.

Life Celebration Services will be at 12:00 pm on Tuesday December 5, 2023, at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in New Chapel Cemetery in Jeffersonville.  Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday December 4, 2023, and after 9:00 am on Tuesday.

Masonic Services will be at 7:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home.  American Legion graveside services will be at New Chapel Cemetery.
