Clarence George Zimbro, Sr., 83, of Charlestown, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at U of L Hospital.
He was born on November 2, 1932 to Clarence and Burnette (Brink) Zimbro in Effingham, IL. He was retired Air Force Veteran who served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars, and a member of the American Legion Post 335.
Survivors include his sons, Robert Zimbro (USMC) of Charlestown, IN, Clarence G. Zimbro, Jr. (USAF) of Charleston, SC, and Gerald Keith Zimbro (USMC) of Kernersville, NC; sisters, Rowena Clemons, Mary Collins, Ethel Hensley, Anita Doss, Madonna Ashabranner, and Judy Pope; 7 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 1pm at the Indiana Veterans Cemetery in Madison, IN. Visitation will begin on Wednesday from 6pm to 8pm at the Grayson Funeral Home, and from 9am to 12pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
