Christine Richey

Christine Richey, 90, passed away Friday, December 10, 2010 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born on February 9, 1920 to James Thornwell and Lillie Bennet Meyer in Taylorsville, KY. She was a secretary for the Commanding Officer at the old Army Ammunition Plant in Charlestown, IN. She was a member of the O.E.S Blazing Bright #597 of Charlestown, member of the Green Thumb Garden Club, a member of the United Methodist Church, and she loved gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Omer Richey, and her daughter Daryl Glotzbach White.
Survivors include her son, Kenneth R. Richey (Dottie) of Jeffersonville, IN; grandchildren, Bryan Glotzbach (Malia) of New Albany, IN, Angie Bryson (Chris) of Charleston, SC, Jonathan Richey of Indianapolis, IN, and Angela Richey of Jeffersonville, IN; great grandchildren, Icelynn Richey, Emma Kay Bryson, Lily Bryson, and Gabriel Glotzbach.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at 11am at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial in the Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4pm to 8pm, and after 9am on Tuesday.
