Chilita Lee Walters

Chilita Lee Walters 63 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Wednesday September 22, 2021, at Rolling Hills Healthcare in New Albany, IN.

She was born on April 4, 1958, to Audrey Meadors in Scottsburg, IN.  She was a former bookkeeper and the United States Postmaster in New Washington, IN.  She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Charlestown and enjoyed being outdoors, her yardwork and cooking. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. Walters.

Chilita is survived by her son, Adrian Bowen of Charlestown; daughter, Brandi Wright (Anthony) of Atlanta, GA; her step-children, Camisha Checo (Francisco) of Atlanta, GA and Dana Walters of Charlestown; grandchildren, Vivian, Divina, Reina and Angela.

Life Celebration Services will be held at 1:30 pm on Monday September 27, 2021, at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Henryville, IN.  Visitation will begin after 11:00 am on Monday.
