Chester Lewis Pangburn Sr. age 90 of Charlestown, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at his home.
Mr. Pangburn was born on December 12, 1922 in Jeffersonville the son of Thomas J. and Hazel Sparks Pangburn. He was the former owner and operator of Pangburn and Tri-City Moving and Storage Co. in Louisville for forty years. He was a Army Veteran of W.W. II a member of the Charlestown United Methodist Church, Jeffersonville Masonic Lodge, V.F.W. and American Legion.
Survivors include his daughter, Ardopha Crouch of Charlestown, IN; son, Leonard Pangburn(Lisa) of Lexington, IN; sisters, Joyce, Betty and Donna; brother Bill; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Marcella Pangburn, son, Chester Pangburn, Jr. and two brothers.
Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville. Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown is in charge of arrangements.
