Chester Carl Gregory, 77 formerly of Charlestown, IN passed away on Friday September 22, 2017 at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN
Mr. Gregory was born on May 27, 1940 in Colo, Ky, the son of James Andrew and Maggie Mae Bray Gregory. He was a truck driver and painter for several years. Mr. Gregory was a Unites States Army veteran from 1957-1960 serving with Elvis Presley. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Science Hill, KY and was a hard worker that was a jack of all trades but would admit to be a master of none.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy(Mitzi) Starr Gregory of Charlestown; daughters Lisa McDonald and companion Tom Hardesty, Donna Dematos (TJ) Sandra Huff all of Charlestown; sons Martin Gregory of Charlestown, IN Daniel (Cherie) of Marysville, IN John Gregory (Carrie) Sellersburg, IN; brothers Jimmy Gregory (Linda) of Greencastle, IN and Jackie Gregory (Meloney) of Somerset, KY; beloved son in law Barry McDonald of Charlestown, IN and Wayne Huff of Columbus, IN; sister-in laws Charlotte Gregory of Greencastle, IN and Sharon Gregory of Science Hill, KY; grandchildren Jeffrey, Julia, Amelia, Allie, Andrew, Ashley, Anthony, Eric, Ciara, Brandon, Ryan, Amanda, Kurtis, Matthew, Christian, Haylie and Tommy; great grandchildren Ross, Isabella, Andrew, Nova, Damien, Carter, Brayden, Jayden, Evan, Lucas, Camden, Zara, Zoey, Liliana, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Mr. Gregory was preceded in death by his son Ronald Allan Gregory, his parents, sister Verla Bumgardner, brothers, Charles, Harold, James Robert Gregory and infant brother Benny.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown. Visitation will be held on Tuesday beginning at 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
